The Mangrove Cricket Club secures grand final spot

The Mangrove Cricket Club has secured its position in the Broome Cricket Association A-grade grand final after defeating Roebuck Bay in the semifinal. Tom Chapman was the standout batsman for Mangrove, scoring 53 runs, while Ryley Alexander performed well for Roebuck Bay with 30 runs. Despite Roebuck Bay s bowlers taking nine wickets, Mangrove emerged victorious with a final score of 3-169. In the B-grade semifinal, Roebuck Bay triumphed over the Dirty Dozen by 29 runs, with Riley Oldfield scoring 47 runs for Roebuck Bay and Matthew Blackley leading for the Dirty Dozen with 34 runs. William Cameron s exceptional performance in bowling, taking four wickets for Roebuck Bay, was not enough to compensate for the Dirty Dozen s weak batting. The A-grade grand final will take place on November 25 at Nipper Roe Oval between Mangrove and the Dirty Dozen, while the B-grade grand final will feature Mangrove against Roebuck Bay.
