Planting Mangroves for a Thriving Ecosystem


Citizens of Pariaman enthusiastically participated in a mangrove planting activity organized by the Orang Muda Ganjar (OMG) volunteers in West Sumatra. The event took place at Talao Apar Pantai Penyu, Desa Apar, Pariaman Utara District, Pariaman City on Monday, November 20, 2023. Vika Tri Rizkita, one of the participants, expressed her joy in being able to take part in the mangrove planting activity. She believes that this activity will have a positive impact on the environment and hopes that it will continue to be carried out to improve the ecosystem in Talao Apar Pantai Penyu. Muhammad Fajri, the Regional Coordinator of OMG Sumbar, stated that the inspiration for their activities comes from Ganjar Pranowo, a figure who is known for his environmental awareness. The OMG volunteers joined forces with the residents of Pariaman planting its seedlings, aiming to create a sustainable and thriving ecosystem.
